Personal Notes: Quite a few Napa Valley Cabs are vilified by connoisseurs for being huge, overly ripe beasts. This is one of those, but we’re not embarrassed at all.In fact, wines like this is why Patrick got into making wine.Huge fruit, soft, silky tannins, and a finish that lasts for miles.Amongst the ripe, dark fruit is a sprinkling of spice and perhaps something a wine dork would call “graphite.”We don’t know exactly what that smells or tastes like, but it does sound pretty cool.
