Personal Notes: As a customer of wine, I always shied away from wines that were described as “balanced.”I often took that to mean the wine is boring, and no particular aspect of the wine stands out.Maybe I’ve slightly matured, but I’d describe this wine as balanced, yet totally unboring.Scanning the thesaurus, perhaps we should call it “proportional.”This wine is smooth & curvy, lacking the sharp edges (be it chalky tannins or jarring acidity) that can sometimes make wine not so fun to drink. This is a fun wine made for fun times, which are hard to come by these days. — Patrick Rue
